Bad Blogger!
Hey everyone....I'm still out here! I've received a lot of flack from many of you due to the lack of new postings on my Blog! I'm a slacker...what can I say?! I'm sorry and been busy, so putting up this post to explain!
As some of you know, Harrison and I moved into our own place earlier this fall, so I've been very busy getting organized and settled, not to mention adjusted to being the sole provider for my little man! I didn't realize how much my parents were able to help me out in a pinch with childcare, or with grocery shopping and errands. I could always get one of them to pick something up from the store for me, or watch the little guy while I ran out and got it. However, my world has changed, and every move, trip to the store, errand to the bank has to be carefully plotted and planned, to avoid peak times, a crowded lineup, big rushes with a child that could melt down at any moment, and no one to leave him with at home! It's taken some careful organizing, but I've got it down to a fine science now....I only leave the house on weekends when he's with his Dad! This actually helps twofold, since I'm not leaving the house much, I spend less money, which I also have to keep a close eye on and budget every penny I make! It is an awesome responsability to be a single parent, however, I am really enjoying the freedom of having a place to call our own, and to not have to worry so much about Harrison's behaviour, or him breaking things that don't actually belong to us!
I don't have the internet quite hooked up yet either, so that has made it hard to get on and update my blog! I'm trying to catch up on the initial cost of moving and all those expensive hook up fees, stick to my budget and pay for Christmas gifts, before I take on anymore bills! So I have to go to my parents' place to access the computer, and am usually so busy visiting (I actually like visiting with them now!) and don't usually have my camera with me to download new pictures, that I forget about my Blog!
Our lives are busy with work, Preschool, playdates, church and now Christmas! I'm always on the run, late for this, gotta get here, need to go there, back on the bus, picking up kids, dropping mine at preschool...run, run, run! However, I'm looking forward to a much needed break at Christmas, with 2 whole weeks off! I can't wait and the countdown is on! 4 1/2 more days of driving the school bus, and then I host my Mom's 60th Birthday (wonder if she wants me telling people?! oops...it's out there now!) party on Sat PM (only a small dinner party for 14 people or so!) then we head to the mountains in Kananaskis for Christmas from Dec 24-27th! It will be wonderful and good to relax and rest. Looking forward to the family time, and Harrison can't wait for Santa! I promise to catch up and post some pictures from earlier this fall, and of course of Christmas in early January...probably the first week, before I head back to work and start this crazy rat race all over again!!!
Happy Holidays Everyone and all the best for a great 2007!
